AEG Built-In Coffee Machines
Shop AEG built-in coffee machines for fresh bean-to-cup espresso, cappuccino, flat white, latte macchiato and other hot drinks. The current AEG range combines an integrated coffee grinder, removable water tank and automatic milk preparation in a 45cm-high appliance designed for fitted kitchen furniture.
Choose between AEG 8000 and 9000 Series models, with glossy black and matt black finishes available. Both series provide adjustable coffee and milk settings, while the main distinction is the control interface: 8000 models use a 4-inch CookSmart touch display and 9000 models use a larger 8-inch CookSmart touch+ display.
Choosing an AEG built-in coffee machine
The current AEG coffee-machine range is designed for built-in installation rather than countertop use. Before comparing drinks or controls, check that your kitchen furniture provides the correct appliance housing and enough depth for installation.
Current AEG 8000 and 9000 coffee machines measure approximately 456mm high, 595mm wide and 450mm deep and require a built-in opening of approximately 450mm high, 560mm wide and 550mm deep. Always confirm the installation drawing for the individual model before ordering.

If the larger display is not important to you, compare the 8000 and 9000 models carefully before paying more. Core capacities and many coffee-making functions are shared across the two current series.
Fresh beans or pre-ground coffee
AEG built-in coffee machines include an adjustable stainless-steel grinder with a 350g bean container, allowing drinks to be prepared from freshly ground coffee. They also accept pre-ground coffee, which can be useful when switching temporarily to decaffeinated coffee or a different blend without emptying the main bean container.
The grinder setting can be adjusted to change how finely the beans are ground. Coffee quantity, water quantity and temperature can also be changed to suit different drinks and personal preferences.
Automatic milk drinks
The current AEG machines include a thermal milk container and automatic cappuccinatore for preparing milk-based coffees such as cappuccino, flat white, caffe latte and latte macchiato.
Milk quantity and foam density can be adjusted, so you are not limited to a single factory recipe. The milk container can also be removed when it is not required.
What drinks can an AEG coffee machine make?
The current built-in range provides automatic programmes for drinks including espresso, ristretto, espresso lungo, Americano, long coffee, cappuccino, flat white, caffe latte, caffe macchiato and latte macchiato. Hot water, milk and steam functions are also available.
A multi-coffee jug function is included for preparing several servings, while individual drink settings can be adjusted for strength, quantity, temperature, milk and foam.
Water tank and plumbing
Current AEG built-in coffee machines use a 2.5-litre removable water tank. They do not need a permanent mains water connection, which simplifies installation compared with a plumbed coffee machine.
The machine provides a refill-water indicator, while a separate indicator warns when the coffee-bean container needs topping up. A used-coffee drawer indicator lets you know when the waste container needs emptying.
Cleaning and descaling
AEG's current built-in coffee machines include an automatic descale programme together with rinsing and water-hardness settings. The display can guide you through routine descaling, while supplied accessories include descaler and a water-hardness test strip.
Removable accessories are dishwasher safe, but the machines should not be described as completely self-cleaning. Regular emptying, rinsing and cleaning of the milk system, drip tray, coffee drawer and other removable components is still required.
Glossy black or matt black?
Both current AEG series are available in alternative finishes. NKC models provide a glossy black appearance, while current PSC models use a fingerprint-resistant matt black finish.
The finish does not substantially change the coffee-making capacity of the corresponding series, so choose according to the other AEG appliances and furniture in the kitchen rather than treating the finish variant as a different coffee-machine type.
Installing an AEG built-in coffee machine
Current AEG coffee machines are designed for installation in a suitable kitchen appliance housing, commonly alongside compact ovens, warming drawers or other integrated appliances.
The machines use a removable water tank rather than a direct water connection and are supplied with a UK moulded plug. Telescopic runners with soft closing are supplied for installation and access. Check the electrical socket position, cabinet ventilation and exact niche dimensions before fitting.
