BORA Innovations 2026 – X Pure Max, Oven Steam & Dish
BORA's 2026 innovations expand the range across cooking, steam cooking and dishwashing. The new generation includes the five-zone BORA X Pure Max and BORA Oven Steam, alongside the forthcoming BORA Dish and the BORA X Fridge Max refrigeration design concept.
BORA X Pure Max and Oven Steam are now the key current products within this innovation range. X Pure Max expands BORA's cooktop extractor concept to five cooking zones, while Oven Steam introduces BORA xHeat professional hot-air and steam cooking in a 64.7-litre built-in oven. BORA Dish is scheduled to extend the range into dishwashing, while X Fridge Max remains a design concept rather than a retail appliance.
BORA X Pure Max
The BORA X Pure Max is an 830mm-wide induction hob with an integrated extractor and five cooking zones. Four 230 × 230mm surface-induction zones provide the main cooking area, with an additional rear-centre cooking zone increasing the usable cooking surface.
The appliance measures 830 × 515 × 199mm and is intended for installation with a minimum 90cm-wide kitchen unit. Extraction is integrated into the cooking surface, removing the need for a conventional overhead cooker hood.
Four BORA X Pure Max versions
| Model | Extraction | Glass finish | Installation choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| PUXAM | Exhaust air | Gloss black | For kitchens with suitable ducting to outside |
| PUXAMR | Exhaust air | Matt black | For ducted installations where a matt surface is preferred |
| PUXUM | Recirculation | Gloss black | For kitchens where external extraction is impractical |
| PUXUMR | Recirculation | Matt black | For recirculating installations where a matt surface is preferred |
Exhaust-air versions connect to BORA ducting so extracted cooking vapour is carried outside. Recirculation versions filter the extracted air before returning it to the kitchen and use an activated-charcoal odour filter that can be accessed from above the hob.
X Pure Max uses a 5-inch BORA xControl touchscreen for the hob and extractor. Eight BORA Assist functions are available with compatible cookware: Fry, Boil, Melt, Keep Warm, Simmer, Pasta, Steam and Coffee. Optional illuminated control knobs can also be added where tactile control is preferred.

BORA Oven Steam
The BORA Oven Steam brings professional hot-air technology and controlled steam together in a 64.7-litre built-in oven. At the centre of the appliance is BORA xHeat, which distributes heat throughout the oven chamber and is designed to deliver consistent cooking results across all three shelf levels.
One appliance can handle baking, steaming, combination cooking, gentle reheating and AirFry cooking when used with the appropriate accessory. BORA Assist and the BORA One app add compatible recipes, guided cooking functions and support throughout the cooking process.
The removable water tank also means the Oven Steam does not require a permanent mains-water connection. This makes installation less involved than the permanently plumbed BORA X BO and gives the Oven Steam greater flexibility for both new kitchens and suitable replacement projects.

BORA Dish
BORA Dish is a fully integrated built-in dishwasher with capacity for up to seven place settings. Designed for frequent, smaller loads, it brings rapid washing and active drying to the BORA appliance range.
The BORA xSpeed programme washes and actively dries dishes in 10 minutes when the water inlet temperature is 44°C, the PreHeat phase has finished and the specified BORA cleaning products are used. Lower inlet temperatures extend the programme time.
BORA eDose automatically dispenses BORA Dish Gel and rinse aid to suit the selected programme, while BORA xDry actively reduces moisture during drying. Installation options include under-worktop or tall-cabinet positioning, with support for fixed-door and sliding-door furniture fronts.

BORA X Fridge Max
BORA X Fridge Max is currently a refrigeration design concept rather than a retail appliance. BORA states that the concept is not intended for sale in its current form and may change as product development progresses.
It should therefore not be treated as an orderable appliance or assigned final retail specifications. For BORA cooling products currently available to compare, browse BORA fridges, BORA fridge freezers and BORA freezers.
BORA Innovations 2026 FAQs
How many BORA X Pure Max versions are available to compare?
Appliance Superstore lists four X Pure Max versions: PUXAM and PUXAMR for exhaust-air installations and PUXUM and PUXUMR for recirculation. Each extraction type is available with either gloss or matt black glass ceramic.
What is different about the BORA X Pure Max?
X Pure Max combines an integrated extractor with five induction cooking zones in an 830mm-wide appliance. Four large surface-induction zones provide the main cooking area, with an additional rear-centre cooking zone providing a fifth pan position.
Should I choose recirculation or exhaust air?
Choose exhaust air where a suitable duct route can carry extracted air outside. Recirculation is useful where external ducting is impractical, filtering the extracted air before returning it to the room. The installation method should be decided before kitchen furniture and worktops are finalised.
What is BORA xHeat?
BORA xHeat is the cooking system used by the BORA Oven Steam. It combines professional hot-air technology with controlled steam and is designed to distribute heat consistently throughout the 64.7-litre cooking chamber and across all three shelf levels.
What can the BORA Oven Steam cook?
BORA Oven Steam can bake, steam, combine hot air with steam, gently reheat food and support AirFry cooking with the appropriate accessory. BORA Assist and the BORA One app can also provide compatible recipes and guided cooking functions.
Does BORA Oven Steam need plumbing?
No permanent mains-water connection is required. BORA Oven Steam uses a removable water tank, making it easier to incorporate into kitchens that were not originally designed for a plumbed steam oven.
When is BORA Dish available?
BORA currently states March 2027 as its intended availability. Appliance Superstore availability should be confirmed before it is treated as an orderable or pre-order product.
Can I buy the BORA X Fridge Max?
Not at present. BORA describes X Fridge Max as a design concept rather than a product currently intended for sale.
