Cooking Appliances – Ovens, Hobs, Hoods, Microwaves & Range Cookers

Shop cooking appliances for fitted and freestanding kitchens, including ovens, hobs, cooker hoods, microwaves, range cookers, warming drawers, coffee machines and specialist steam cooking appliances. Compare models by installation type, dimensions, cooking capacity, fuel type, extraction method, cleaning system and smart connectivity before choosing the right appliances for your kitchen.

Shop Cooking Appliances by Type

Ovens

Browse built-in single and double ovens, steam ovens, combination ovens and self-cleaning models. Check cabinet dimensions, usable capacity, electrical requirements and cleaning system before ordering.

Hobs

Compare induction, gas, ceramic, mixed-fuel and vented hobs in different widths and zone layouts. Induction requires compatible magnetic cookware, while gas installation must suit the property's gas supply and ventilation.

Cooker Hoods & Extractors

Choose from integrated, wall-mounted, island, ceiling and downdraft extraction. Compare width, noise level and whether the appliance can be ducted outside or configured for recirculation.

Microwaves & Combination Ovens

Shop built-in microwaves and combination microwave ovens. Combination models add conventional oven functions to microwave cooking, so check cavity size, niche dimensions and available cooking modes carefully.

Range Cookers

Compare freestanding range cookers with gas, electric, induction and dual-fuel configurations. Width, electrical load, gas connection and the number of oven cavities are key considerations before installation.

Warming & Vacuum Drawers

Built-in drawers can warm crockery, keep food ready to serve or provide low-temperature cooking, depending on the model. Selected vacuum drawers are designed for food preparation and sous-vide use.

Coffee Machines

Compare built-in and countertop coffee machines, including bean-to-cup models. Check installation type, water supply, grinder configuration, milk system and cleaning requirements.

Boiling Water Taps

Explore boiling-water tap systems and choose the appropriate tap and under-sink tank combination for the available cabinet space and water supply.

BBQs & Outdoor Cooking

Browse charcoal grills, ceramic kamado grills and other outdoor cooking appliances. BBQ covers, fuel, stones, griddles and other accessories should be selected separately from the main appliance range.

Choosing the Right Cooking Appliances

Start with installation and dimensions

Check the available cabinet or worktop dimensions before comparing features. Built-in ovens, compact ovens, microwaves, coffee machines and warming drawers require the correct cabinet niche, while hobs need the appropriate worktop cut-out and clearance. Range cookers are freestanding but still require the correct width, services and surrounding clearances.

Choose the right oven functions

A standard fan oven covers most everyday baking and roasting. Pyrolytic cleaning heats the oven to a very high temperature so baked-on residue can be reduced to ash and wiped away afterwards. Steam-assisted ovens introduce moisture during selected cooking programmes, while dedicated and combination steam ovens provide broader steam cooking capability.

Induction, gas or ceramic hob?

Induction transfers energy directly into compatible cookware and gives rapid, responsive control, but pans must have a suitable magnetic base. Gas provides visible flame control. Ceramic hobs use electric radiant heating beneath a smooth glass surface and do not require induction-compatible cookware.

A vented hob combines the cooking surface and extractor in one appliance. Depending on the product and installation, extracted air may be ducted outside or filtered and returned to the room. This can remove the need for a separate overhead cooker hood, but cabinet space, ducting and filter access must be planned before the kitchen is installed.

Plan extraction with the hob

Cooker-hood performance should be considered at the same time as the hob. Compare the extractor width, installation position, ducting route, operating noise and whether recirculation is supported. Ceiling, island, wall-mounted, integrated and downdraft extractors solve different installation problems and should not be treated as interchangeable styles.

Check power, gas and plumbing requirements

Cooking appliances can have very different service requirements. High-power induction hobs and range cookers may require a dedicated electrical circuit; gas products need the appropriate gas connection; and selected steam ovens, coffee machines and boiling-water systems require or benefit from permanent plumbing. Always use the manufacturer's installation drawing and electrical, gas or water specification for the exact model rather than relying on category dimensions alone.

Compare features at model level

Capacity, energy rating, cleaning system, automatic programmes, smart connectivity and noise level are useful comparison points, but they are not applicable to every type of cooking appliance. Use the category-specific filters after choosing whether you need an oven, hob, extractor, range cooker or another appliance type.

Cooking Appliances FAQs

What appliances are included in the cooking range?

The cooking range includes ovens, hobs, cooker hoods and extractors, microwaves, range cookers, steam cooking appliances, warming and vacuum drawers, coffee machines, boiling-water taps and outdoor cooking appliances. Accessories and cleaning products should be sold separately from the primary appliance grid.

What should I measure before buying a built-in cooking appliance?

Measure the cabinet niche or worktop cut-out and compare it with the manufacturer's installation drawing for the exact model. Check width, height, depth, ventilation clearances, electrical supply and any plumbing or ducting requirements before ordering.

What is the difference between pyrolytic and steam cleaning?

Pyrolytic ovens use a very high-temperature cleaning cycle to carbonise food residue so it can be wiped away afterwards. Steam or hydrolytic cleaning uses moisture to loosen lighter deposits. The level of automation and cleaning performance varies by model.

Do induction hobs need special pans?

Yes. Induction requires cookware with a magnetic base. If a magnet attaches firmly to the bottom of an existing pan it will generally be suitable, although the cookware manufacturer's instructions should still be checked.

Can a cooker hood recirculate instead of venting outside?

Many models can operate in recirculation mode using grease and odour filters, while others are intended for external ducting or require additional parts. Check the specification for the exact hood before planning the kitchen.

What is a vented hob?

A vented hob combines a hob and extractor in the same appliance. Air is drawn down through the hob area rather than through a separate hood above it. Depending on the system, the air can be ducted outside or filtered for recirculation.
