The AEG NCH74B01AB 6000 Induction Extractor Hob combines induction cooking and built-in extraction in a sleek black glass design. Designed to fit neatly into a 60cm cabinet, this 68cm to 70cm class vented induction hob provides four cooking zones, Touch on Glass slide controls and automatic extraction for a streamlined cooking space.

Integrated Induction Hob and Extractor

The AEG 6000 Bridge Extractor Hob combines a four-zone induction hob with a powerful integrated extractor, helping provide effective airflow without requiring a separate cooker hood. Automatic Extractor Control switches on and adjusts the extraction level according to your cooking activity, allowing you to concentrate on preparing your food.

The extractor provides three speed settings plus an Intensive setting. Filter clean indication makes it easier to keep track of maintenance, while the hob also includes grease filter and charcoal filter indicators.

Bridge Function for Larger Cookware

The Bridge function links the two left cooking zones to create one larger cooking area for oversized cookware or griddle pans. The linked zones are automatically power aligned to provide consistent cooking performance across the combined surface.

Four Individual Zone Controls give you independent control of each cooking area, with nine power levels and separate timers for precise cooking. Touch controls provide convenient operation directly from the black glass surface.

PowerBoost for Fast, Intense Heat

PowerBoost provides an instant increase in temperature when you need more intense heat, allowing water to boil in less than 90 seconds. It is ideal when you want to bring pans up to temperature quickly before returning to a lower cooking level.

The hob also features Heat Memory, a minute minder, Pause functionality and EcoTimer™. EcoTimer™ uses residual heat by switching the cooking zone off before the end of the set timer to help improve efficiency.

Automatic Extractor Control

Automatic Extractor Control adjusts the extractor fan according to changes in hob temperature and cooking activity. This hands-free operation helps maintain fresh kitchen air without requiring constant manual adjustment.

The integrated extractor uses a brushless inverter motor and supports both recirculation and ducted extraction. Filtering, exhaust ductless installation equipment is included in the box. For Half Pipe installation, the Universal Half Pipe Ducting Kit M2CKCF01 must be ordered separately. For other duct-out installations, refer to the Product & Install Guide and order the required ducting.

Long-Life Carbon Filter

The Long-Life Carbon Filter is designed for straightforward maintenance and extended use. It can be cleaned in the dishwasher, refitted and regenerated up to eight times, helping keep kitchen air fresh while maintaining extractor performance.

The appliance uses two Odour Clean Carbon Filters and includes filter indicators to help you identify when cleaning or maintenance is required.

Useful Safety and Cooking Functions

A child lock helps prevent accidental operation, while the key-lock function provides additional control protection. Residual heat indicators show when the hob surface remains hot after use.

Auto safety switch-off turns the power off if a cooking zone has been left operating for too long. Pause functionality allows you to take a short break without losing your cooking settings, while Sound Off provides the option to disable operating sounds.

Installation details

This induction extractor hob supports both recirculating and ducted installation. Appliance dimensions are 730 x 520mm and built-in dimensions are 225 x 680 x 490mm, with a 220mm air outlet and 5mm aperture cut out. The appliance requires a hardwired electrical connection. Filtering exhaust ductless installation equipment is included. For Half Pipe installation, the Universal Half Pipe Ducting Kit M2CKCF01 is required separately. For other duct-out installations, the required ducting should be confirmed from the product and installation guide before installation.
