Quick & Gentle Microwave Cooking

Quick & Gentle uses inverter technology to provide freely and infinitely adjustable microwave energy, allowing conventional heat and microwave power to be combined precisely for flexible cooking. Seven electronically controlled microwave power levels are available at 80, 150, 300, 450, 600, 850 and 1000W.

The Quick MW function provides fast microwave access, while the dedicated Popcorn programme is designed around a 100g packet of microwave popcorn. The preset time and wattage can also be adjusted if you prefer a crispier result.

Microwave + Fan plus is suitable for faster, gentle baking and roasting on up to two levels, while Microwave + Fan grill provides a versatile option for foods such as steaks, sausages, kebabs and rolled meat.

Fan plus supports gentle baking and roasting on up to two levels. Conventional heat provides a classic option for traditional baked and roasted dishes, while Intensive bake is designed for foods requiring a crisp base and moist topping, including pizza, quiche and fresh fruit flans.

Auto roast initially sears meat at a high temperature before continuing at the selected roasting temperature. Low temperature cooking cooks meat evenly at low temperatures without drying out the exterior.

Grill is suitable for larger quantities of steaks, sausages, kebabs and similar foods, while Fan grill is designed to produce a crisp exterior and succulent centre on dishes such as chicken, duck, pork knuckle and rolled meat. Bottom heat can be used for bain-marie cooking or browning food from underneath.

Defrosting gently defrosts frozen food using cool air. The Booster function provides rapid heat-up when cooking time is limited, and pre-heating is also available.

Automatic Programmes and Wired Food Probe

Automatic programmes provide electronically controlled settings for a wide range of dishes. Depending on the programme, there is no need to select the cooking function, temperature or duration manually. The degree of cooking can also be adjusted for foods such as meat, and the microwave function can be added for faster preparation.

The supplied wired food probe measures the core temperature of fish or meat for precise cooking. A time-left display indicates how much longer the cooking process is expected to take.

Special applications provide preset parameters for less common requirements, including proving dough and drying fruit. The relevant temperatures and oven compartment conditions are preset when the programme is selected.

Crisp Function and Flexible Temperature Control

The Crisp function reduces moisture within the oven compartment to create a drier cooking environment, helping foods such as chips and potato croquettes develop a crisp exterior. Oven temperatures can be selected between 30°C and 250°C.

Keeping warm, rapid heat-up and pre-heating functions provide further flexibility for everyday cooking.

M Touch Controls with MotionReact

The appliance provides a time-of-day display, date display, clock synchronisation, actual temperature display, target temperature display and an audible signal when the desired temperature is reached. In the event of a power cut, the set time is retained for approximately 150 hours.

Miele@home Connectivity

The Miele H 7840 BMX Graphite Grey supports Miele@home, allowing compatible Miele domestic appliances to be networked through a home WiFi router and the Miele Cloud. Depending on the available functionality, operation can include the Miele app, voice control and integration with existing Smart Home solutions.

Touch-Cool Front and Safety Features

The appliance cooling system cools the Miele combination microwave oven on all sides to help keep the controls and adjacent cabinetry relatively cool. Multi-layer door panels provide insulation and help maintain a low exterior door temperature.

Safety features include a system lock, sensor lock and safety switch-off. The appliance can be locked to help prevent unintentional operation, including operation by children. Safety switch-off automatically switches the oven off if the maximum operating time is exceeded.
