CONNECTED HOBS AND HOODS

The auto-vent function regulates hood extraction speed automatically depending on the temperature and power level selected on the hob.

It is therefore no longer necessary to manually adjust the settings of the cooker hood simply use the hob as required, and the cooker hood will automatically adjust its extraction speed to match the hob settings.

Up to six preset programmes can be selected. It is also possible to manually adjust the hood from the hob simply by touching the Auto-Vent button.

DUCTING OR RE-CIRCULATING

Most Smeg hoods offer the choice of ducting or re-circulating, so you can choose your preferred method.

Ducting out extracts cooking fumes and expels them outside, using a vent kit (available as an optional accessory) The diameter of the ducting hose should match the vent outlet of the hood.

Re-circulating extracts the cooking fumes and passes them through active charcoal filters (available as an optional accessory), recirculating the cleaned air back into the room. To find out which charcoal filter your hood needs, check the accessory tab on the hoods specification.

INTENSIVE EXTRACTION

A powerful intensive speed can be selected when quick extraction is needed, wheter you’re creating a sizzling stir fry or preparing an aromatic curry, even the strongest cooking odours will be removed in no time.

CLEAN AIR

The 24h air exchange function makes the hood work for 10 minutes every hour at very low speed and therefore without noise for a total of 24 hours in order to purify the air of the house, with low energy impact.

LED LIGHTING

These lights are long lasting, save money and perfectly illuminate the work surface below. They can be switched on regardless of the fans, and used simply to create ambiance lighting in the kitchen.

AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF

A special setting switches off both the extraction and the lights, after a predefined time, during which the hood keeps on purifying the air until it turns off automatically.
