KEF Mu7 Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-Ear Headphones in Charcoal Grey

The KEF Mu7 Charcoal Grey wireless noise cancelling headphones combine 40mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, Smart Active Noise Cancellation and up to 40 hours of battery life. Designed in collaboration with Ross Lovegrove, these over-ear headphones feature a distinctive Charcoal Grey finish, an aluminium frame, cushioned earcups and intuitive touch controls for listening at home or on the move.

KEF Sound with 40mm Dynamic Drivers

The KEF Mu7 headphones feature 40mm full-range dynamic drivers, developed and tuned by KEF’s acoustic engineers to reproduce detailed sound across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz.

Qualcomm aptX HD support enables compatible Bluetooth devices to transmit audio at up to 24-bit/48kHz, helping preserve musical detail during wireless listening. The headphones also support SBC, AAC and standard aptX codecs.

Bluetooth 5.1 provides wireless connectivity with compatible smartphones, tablets and other Bluetooth audio sources, with a specified operating range of up to 10 metres.

Smart Active Noise Cancellation

KEF’s Smart Active Noise Cancellation technology monitors surrounding noise and automatically adjusts its noise reduction processing according to the listening environment.

The system uses multiple filters to target unwanted external sounds while maintaining audio reproduction. This makes the Mu7 suitable for listening in environments such as public transport, offices and other busy surroundings.

Up to 40 Hours of Wireless Listening

The KEF Mu7 offers up to 40 hours of battery life on a full charge with Bluetooth and active noise cancellation enabled.

When battery power is running low, a 15-minute fast charge provides up to 8 hours of additional listening time. Charging is handled through the included USB-C cable.

A rechargeable 1100mAh lithium-ion battery powers the headphones, reducing the need for frequent charging during extended listening.

Intuitive Touch Controls and Clear Voice Calls

A touch-sensitive control surface on the right earcup allows you to adjust volume, change tracks, manage playback and answer calls using taps and swipes.

The Mu7 also features Clear Voice Capture (cVc) technology, which helps reduce unwanted background sounds picked up by the microphones during hands-free calls.

Voice assistant functionality is supported through the touch controls when used with a compatible connected device.

Ross Lovegrove Design in Charcoal Grey

Developed in collaboration with industrial designer Ross Lovegrove, the KEF Mu7 Charcoal Grey headphones combine smooth, sculpted earcups with a precision-engineered aluminium frame. The understated Charcoal Grey finish complements the headphones’ distinctive curved design.

Breathable leatherette memory foam ear cushions conform to the shape of the wearer’s head, helping provide a comfortable fit and an acoustic seal around the ears.

The earcups rotate to allow the headphones to fold flat for more convenient storage in the supplied carrying case. Weighing 309g, the Mu7 combines a lightweight construction with an adjustable headband for a comfortable fit.

Wireless and Wired Listening Options

In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, the KEF Mu7 provides a 3.5mm audio connection for wired listening with compatible audio equipment.

A 3.5mm audio cord is included, allowing you to connect to devices with a suitable headphone output. A flight adapter is also supplied for compatible aircraft entertainment systems.

The headphones support connection to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, although audio playback is limited to one device at a time.
