Important Installation Note

The BORA X BO oven is unique in that no air is exhausted from the front of the machine.  The X BO is instead exhausting steam at the rear of the appliance.

This USP elevates the user experience to the next level of customer satisfaction as no unwanted hot steam surrounds the X BO users face during use.

Consequently, the X BO requires a certain volume of ventilation, like integrated refrigeration systems to make this USP user experience to come alive.

We kindly ask you and your planning team to check your floor plans, and inform your fitters to be mindful of the following requirements:

• X BO systems require a minimum clearance of 30mm behind the unit, flowing all the way from the bottom to the top of the cabinet.
• The air must circulate from the bottom to the top of the unit!
• We therefore require a minimum space equal or even greater >160cm².
• At the bottom this can be achieved by means of a gap above the plinths (similar to how we accommodate the venting of a BORA hob recirculation systems).
• At the top this can be achieved by either free flow into the room, or by creating a gap like the plinth method or by way of ventilation grille. (Please see page 161 attached)

If the X BO does not have enough ventilation > 160cm², the system can become too hot and prompt error messages and malfunctions due to overheating electronic components being inside the X BO.

This is easily avoided by providing the required > 160cm², ventilation when installing the X BO system.

Fully automatic intensive cleaning.

The fully automatic cleaning programme makes even cleaning a cinch. The appliance is cleaned and dried automatically all you have to do is screw the environmentally friendly, recyclable cleaning cartridge into the centre of the oven rack.

Automatic steam extraction and effective odour filtration.

BORA Smart Open automatically extracts the steam from the oven chamber before the door is opened so it will no longer fog up unit fronts or hit you in the face. The odour filter also neutralises unpleasant odours. Changing the filter is extremely easy.

Four-point food thermometer for precisely cooked food.

Thanks to the unique four-point food thermometer, the optimum cooking temperature can be determined. Located in the oven chamber, it is simply inserted into the food. There is no need to find the optimum measuring position as the measuring points always detect the coldest part of the food. The cooking process is automatically ended when the target temperature is reached.
