Frequently Asked Questions About the 232
Is the Novy 232 Cloud a ceiling-mounted extractor hood?
Yes. The Novy 232 Cloud is a 110cm ceiling-mounted cooker hood in Mineral Black. Its slim 176mm-high design fixes directly to the ceiling, making it suitable for kitchens where a discreet, surface-mounted ceiling extractor is preferred.
Does the Novy 232 Cloud require external ducting?
No. The Novy 232 Cloud is designed for recirculating operation and uses Novy monoblock filtration to treat cooking odours before returning filtered air to the room. This removes the need for a conventional external exhaust duct.

The Novy 232 Cloud has four fan speeds, with airflow of 187m³/h at speed 1, 272m³/h at speed 2, 343m³/h at speed 3 and up to 504m³/h at speed 4. It uses two integrated motors to provide flexible extraction for different cooking requirements.
How noisy is the Novy 232 Cloud?
Sound power levels range from 49dB(A) at speed 1 to 68dB(A) at speed 4. The hood also incorporates a sound absorber to help provide refined operation, which is particularly useful in open-plan kitchens.

Does the Novy 232 Cloud have adjustable lighting?
Yes. Integrated LED lighting allows the colour temperature to be adjusted from 2,700K to 5,000K. Separate cooking and ambient lighting modes let you choose brighter functional illumination while preparing food or a softer setting for the surrounding kitchen.
What is perimeter extraction on the Novy 232 Cloud?
Perimeter extraction draws cooking vapours through openings around the edges of the hood rather than relying on one large central intake. This supports effective air capture while allowing the Novy Cloud to retain its clean, streamlined appearance.
What are the dimensions of the Novy 232 Cloud?
The Novy 232 Cloud measures 1100mm wide, 600mm deep and 176mm high. It weighs approximately 36kg and has a particularly low installation height of 17.6cm.
What installation height is recommended for the Novy 232 Cloud?

Are there any suitable alternatives to the Novy 232 Cloud 110cm Ceiling Extractor Hood I could consider?
Yes, you could consider the Novy 6831 Pureline 90cm Ceiling Extractor Hood as a slightly smaller same-brand Novy ceiling cooker hood with integrated dimmable LED lighting, InTouch control and duct-out or recirculation options, or the Novy 6841 Pureline 120cm Ceiling Extractor Hood if you want a wider Novy ceiling extractor with stronger extraction, integrated/remote motor flexibility and dimmable LED lighting.
